The Cartuxa winery at Quinta de Valbom is an icon of the wine heritage of Alentejo. Fifteen hectares of organic vines surround this century-old premises where emblematic brands like Cartuxa and Pera-Manca age to perfection. This is where the Cartuxa Wine Tourism is located, just 10 minutes away from Evora city center, where you’ll learn the history of the wine estate and challenge your senses with a wine and olive oil tasting. Both wines and olive oil, as well as the cured meats of world famous Alentejo free ranging black pigs can be purchased at during your visit which are pre-packaged to take home to enjoy during your trip or take home after your trip in vacuum sealed packages.
